Whole experience with Tain and Stacey was very professional, Tain wasn’t pushy and we didn’t feel any pressure to sign a contract unlike some other agents we have dealt with. Really respect harcourts approach and look forward to dealing with them in the future
Tain was professional and provided great assistance and advise on my first ever purchase which is a very daunting experience. Any time I had a question he was able to provide a clear and concise answer to out my concerns at ease. He went the extra mile, even a missed call was a delight with his daily update of his voicemail message.
Tain sold our home quickly and made the process so much easier! He was very informative throughout the process, always happy to answer any questions I had and very quick with responses. Always happy and great energy, felt very comfortable and confident with seeking his expertise and knowledge in selling our home. Not only did he get us an amazing price for our home, he did it so quick that we didn’t need many open homes which made the process so smooth. Out of all the agents I have used selling homes, Tain & Harcourts have been by far my favourite and will continue using them in the future.
Tain and his team achieved a great result in a short period of time. He had a great knowledge of his buyers requirements and was able to bring the right people through to achieve the result we were hoping for. He was very responsive to our needs and calls at all times of the day and week. If you're looking for an agent that is confident in his abilities and great at building rapport with his clients and buyers then Tain is the person for the job. If the question ever came up of would I use him again, the answer would be a definite yes.

This is got to be the worst real estate engagement being a globe trotter and lived in three continents. I’ve lived in US, India and Singapore and now relocated to Australia recently. Tain was reasonable to begin with, approachable. As time progressed - he became increasingly unavailable as well as unresponsive. In fact majority of my calls landed in his voicemail to no respite or call back. Things that went horribly wrong and least expected of a real estate agency. 1. COS - was signed but not dated, lead to delays in getting mortgage process going. I had to follow up at least 3 times to get all dates fixed. 2. Communications - as described earlier, at beginning it was ok whereas within a couple of weeks he vanished not answering or attending to calls. While I understand that he had a new born, why was he still in midst to make things complicated? Extremely frustrating and very unprofessional. 3. Understanding and support - virtually none, in all matters related to transaction as well as communicating to vendor - I was just being put down big time. I requested for steam clean in good faith as vendor had a cat and it was denied by Tain - outright. How can he decide for vendor without even consulting them? On day of final inspection - many inconsistencies were found and these were denied upfront by him saying they were there at time of inspection. How is he taking calls and on what basis? 4. Handover - at the day of settlement, after settlement went through I had to repeatedly call him whereas it should’ve been other way around. When I went to Harcourts to get my keys, I was only given one key of main door, rest of the keys as I was told were with vendor! What sort of behavior is this? Tain still made excuses about vendor carrying keys. Isn’t that an agent’s duty to handover the keys once settlement is done? And I wasn’t given all the keys finally later that day. I would NOT recommend Tain or Harcourts to anyone. Unprofessional and frustrating experience.
Tain is a perfect gentleman whose knowledge of the local market and sales area was amazing. He was able to support us through some unexpected occurrences with ease and professionalism. His use of social media and his knowledge on how to market a property to its full adavantage vis these channels worked brilliantly for us as we sold the property in record time! Highly recommend Tain to everyone!
