The auction at 2 Eastham street was a bit of a non-event as none of the expected bidders (apart from me) put in a bid. No matter how much Tim cajoled people and gave them chance to bid, they remained silent. Apparently this is a new trend at auction, ie. to wait until the house is passed in and then enter into negotiations. I can't see the advantage. In the negotiations after the auction with me and my partner, Tim was very respectful and calm. There was no attempt to push us to a position in which we were not comfortable. He did his job and put our position to the vendor without any drama.
