Throughout the offering and buying process, Tom had been quite pushy in the process to a point it become a bit unreasonable. We were pushed to sign the contract at our first inspection, late night message and another follow-up the next early morning. Given that we are experienced property investors, I have not seen agents like this since the good old days. I have also been informed multiple times rental return is $800 when it was actually $790, strata were $1600 when it said $2000+ on the contract. Strata report given was old and for a different block on unit in the same complex. Holding out strata information & minutes, we ended up ordering our own report and minutes and found out some strata related concerns and upcoming items. In the meantime, being pressuring to signed and put down a deposit in the name of "my own good" and assurance. My wife and I have every intention to buy but just need to assess for any unforeseen cost or safety concerns for our 2 little ones. The whole process was simply exhausting needing to uncovering the basic information every step of the way, even for an experienced buyer like us. I will not even go into the selling techniques, was one side conversation to list all the private school in the area, even though we repeatedly told him our little is already enrolled in a school, to a point where we gave up and just nodded and say yes. When we walked in our second arranged inspection, the tenant was in the property, we didn't feel comfortable walking around or inspecting the place at all. We were caught off guard as this had never happened to us in any of our purchase in the pass. If this is the work ethics and techniques this agency uses to sell, I will try to avoid dealings this LJ Hooker branch in the future. Let alone having them representing me in selling or managing my properties in the future.
