Richard was recently engaged to sell two new homes for us in Windsor. With the first home he achieved a better than expected result in a good time frame with absolutely no issues. The second home was a different style and the positioning wasn't quite as good. Unfortunately reasonable offers were not coming and after a number of months we started to feel concerned. Competing agents were very keen to take on the challenge and we decided to try a different approach with another local agency. We were promised a quick result and a good price. Unfortunately this didn't eventuate and we felt we had hit a road block. Having a good long term relationship with Richard and given the excellent result he had achieved on the previous property we spoke again and decided to market the property with him one more time. Dean arranged an off-market inspection while we still had some minor renovations underway, and a week later the buyer made a very solid offer. I cannot understate the value in selling off-market - we saved several thousand dollars in costs and did not have to deal with intrusive and stressful open house inspections. More importantly, the purchase price achieved was near the upper bound of our expectations, and Dean handled some of the buyers' building inspection issues with considerable tact.
