Initially we selected & interviewed 3 of the most popular real estate agencies in the Niddrie area. Our analysis/criteria included the following: 1. Price range 2. Commission 3. Advertising 4. No. of sales of similar properties in Niddrie above $1 million in the last year 5. Best sale in Niddrie area. Against this criteria Barry Plant rated first against 4 of the 5 criteria. Against the criteria - No. of sales of similar properties ... Barry Plant had sold 11 properties; the next agent 4 & the last agent 2. On the basis of this analysis we choose Barry Plant to sell our property. Tony Catena ably assisted by Stephanie Radman were engaged to sell our property. Tony's qualities are honesty, integrity & professionalism. He displayed these qualities in an exemplary manner. Throughout the campaign he communicated with us regularly identifying 6 people were interested in the property; 5 of whom bid at the auction. On auction day he performed in an exemplary way. It was a difficult auction - slow to start with chaotic bidding throughout the auction. While most auction's are structured - $25,000, then $10,000, then $5,000, then $1,000 bids. At our auction Tony was willing to take any bids in any order. So we had some people bidding $10,000; some bidding $5,000; some bidding $1,000; some bidding $500 at various times throughout the auction. The result $115,000 above the reserve price. The best price achieved in the street so far. We were over the moon with the result. We were extremely happy with Tony's & Stephanie's assistance & performance throughout the campaign. I sold property through Barry Plant and delt with Walter Marsh. Property was on Auction but no one bid. It was disappointed for me but Walter was very confident, he suggested for private sale. After tactical negotiation with buyers he managed to sale in price that we did not expect. He got really good Property sales experience.

We have dealt with Luke previously and when we decided to place our family home on the market we knew we had to involve Luke in the process. Luke and his colleague Paul were easy to deal with. From the outset they were very honest and upfront about the process. They were also very mindful of the fact that we have 2 young children so it would be difficult to accomodate private inspections outside of open times. Communication was constant throughout the process so we felt confident that we would be able to obtain the result we were after. We were very pleased with our auction result.
