Never contact my agent
This is my first time renting a whole house. At beginning, agent, Hayley did a great job to organize the inspection and application stuffs, I was very appropriate for her help. And then I meet property manager, Rajesh when I signed the contracts, I was thinking it’s a good start because he explained that with patience.
But I changed my thoughts when I got texts from gas company, they asked me about gas meters number and said it’s URGENT. I called McGrath, they said my property manager was not in office but they will sent my questions to him, I sent him an email to ask and marked it’s urgent on title in the same time. Just no any reply, and I kept receive gas company texts and phone call, I only could say that I have to wait my agent reply me. After four hours before they closed, I decided to call McGrath again and insisted the gas company said it’s urgent, they finally found other agent to answer me the question.
Also, I got keys at 23rd Oct. morning (not public holiday) and when I went into house, there was no power, no gas. I tried to find out where is the switch but I couldn’t find it. Then I called McGrath again, my property manager still wasn’t in office and sure, no one knew where is the switch as me. They gave me his mobile number instead (I’m not sure it’s right or not), but no one pick up the phone call, no reply my text as well. Fortunately, I called the Foxie energy company, they helped me to find out power and gas switch by phone talk and emails pictures, it took an hour to solve this easy problem. In the end of the day, I never got any reply from my property manager at all. I cannot stop thinking where is my property manager? For me, it is a terrible experience.
Maybe if the property manager could give me a quick call and concerned about the first moving house day, everything will be different, I won’t be so frustrated and exhausted on this new house.
