Selling while interstate. For someone currently living interstate it was very important for me to have someone I could trust to sell my home and I knew I could trust Frederico to sell my Petersham property. He had sold a house through auction in my street when I was still living in the Inner West with a good result. He was known by my neighbours and other friends in the Inner West to be reliable. When asking people for recommendations his name always came up. I’d unfortunately had another agent managing my rental for the year after I moved interstate and considerable damage was done to my unit by the tenants in that time. This was not totally covered by the bond unfortunately. Once the tenants’s lease expired and they moved to other premises Frederico pulled in his known ‘tradies’ who repaired the damage under his supervision. This was wonderful as I didn’t want to be travelling up and down between Canberra and Petersham to supervise myself. I was kept informed of potential costs, and I was given the opportunity to make choices about how much should be spent on various works. I was also kept informed of progress on a regular basis. Frederico also prepared my unit for sale providing styling. I had feedback from my neighbours about the progress from their perspective. There were no complaints while work was being done. I first met Frederico 6 years ago when I went to an inspection and ultimately ended up buying the property at auction. Although I was a buyer and he was the vendor's agent, I was impressed with him and when the time came to sell that house he was the first name I thought of to represent us.
