Melissa from Century 21 at Scarborough, was the kindest and the most professional property manager I dealt with during my recent journey, to find a new place to live for me and my companion cat ‘Nellie’. It took me three weeks to find my current new home and I met 10 different property managers and inspected 12 properties. from Ipswich to Redcliffe Peninsular during that time. I had a limited budget of $500 per week and this made it extremely hard to find a decent place to live. Melissa was the last agent that I met. She showed me two places that suited me. I stayed behind at the last house inspection, to speak to her personally about my situation. She listened carefully to my story, and understood my stress and the need to find a suitable property soon, as my current unit was going to be demolished shortly. Melissa said to me ‘Stop looking Rose, as I will find you the right place that you can afford’. I trusted and believed her. Two days later she rang me to say, that she had found me a great unit. I met her the next day there and it was indeed perfect for me, at $495.00 per week. She rang and spoke to the landlord explaining my situation, along with her recommendation, that I would be an excellent tenant. She rang me the next day saying my application was approved. I was so happy that I cried with relief. Two weeks later I am in my new home with my cat ‘Nellie’ who is slowly settling in to her new home as well. I was living in North Brisbane and now I am living in Redcliffe Peninsular area. It is a new start, to make new friends and begin a new life. Melissa did not see me as another pensioner, she took the time to see my maturity and my previous solid rental reference and my years as a business person, as an asset for her Landlord. I am very happy here and looking forward to a bright future, thanks to Melissa’s professionalism, as a property manager. Thank you so much Melissa, for ‘Nellie’ and my new home.
