We met Matt a couple of years ago when we were looking at a property to purchase in the Allambie area. Although we didn’t buy then, Matt remained engaged and when recently we found a house we loved, I reached out to Matt to get his insights. He ended up acting on our behalf as a buyers agent and secured our forever home for us. In a challenging market, I know that it’s important that the agent is very open and honest with both buyer and seller, and Michelle’s professionalism and ethical approach to both parties resulted in eight registered bidders at auction, a happy vendor and a happy buyer. A rarity in my experience as a seasoned property investor; and unheard of in the challenging market we are currently facing. I don’t imagine that Freshwater will see a result like this for quite a while, and we are greatly indebted to Michelle and the team at Cunninghams for their advice, honesty and integrity. We chose Matthew (and Simon Carroll) after some consideration and looking at seven different agencies (three of them in detail). Reviewing other sales at the time and reflecting on our outcome, we still would have chosen them despite originally wanting a higher price for our house. There were a few surprises along the way but Matthew and Simon managed to navigate around them, As an example, Simon took some clutter to the tip for us two days before settlement because we apparently misunderstood the purchaser was happy for it to stay. Matthew was good at adjusting their sales strategy along the way for a good outcome.
