Julia Portnoy

Property Consultant

About Julia

Being in real estate is not just a job – it’s a lifestyle,” she says. “If you still wake up, after 18 years in the job, and you’re excited to go to work – you know you’re doing something you love.” Julia moved to Australia over 25 years ago and, as a proud Caulfield resident, is a passionate advocate for the best attributes of the surrounding suburbs. As a Senior Property Consultant with our Hodges Caulfield office, Julia enjoys the privilege of making people happy – looking after their individual needs when they buy or sell. Negotiating the deal, says Julia, can be a challenge but it’s a part of the job she loves. To balance the high-pressure side of real estate, she loves reading Russian literature and also unwinds in the kitchen – finding relaxation in cooking delicious food for family and friends. Julia has been happily married to her husband, Julian, a piano teacher, for 24 years. With a successful real estate career and a 21-year old son at home, life can be busy but Julia wouldn’t have it any other way.

fabulous attention to detail and on level honesty

Golan provided what I can only describe as personalised service. Throughout the process he kept me informed of opportunities and made me aware of any potential issues. The on-going communication resulted in a sale of the property before going to auction. That's exactly what I wanted!

Highly effective agent with strong local knowledge

I highly recommend Golan as an agent- smart, professional and a highly skilled communicator. Golan has a very effective communication style using WhatsApp texts and voice messages to keep clients up to date. He prepared a very realistic estimate based on current market knowledge which proved accurate almost to the dollar on the sale. His professionalism stood out- he did what he said he would do at all times throughout the sales process. Golan was a skilled negotiator achieving a price and outcome highly satisfactory to both parties. He was realistic in conveying price expectations and state of the market and his integrity is exceptional. Golan is an outstanding agent with a commitment to excellence. I highly recommend him to sell your property.
