Over a period of six months, I had interviewed about eight local real estate agents and sought their advice about selling my house. Firstly, I bought a 2 bedroom apartment from Rick in a retirement village in Mosman so that my house in Glebe could be styled. He assisted me by recommending a solicitor who knows about such villages and also in a quick settlement. He then asked me if he could sell my house. I was reticent at first as he was not a local agent but he put himself out to help me getting rid of furniture, etc. so that I could move out and sell before Christmas. His price guide was low so I wondered if the auctioneer could get my price. On the day of the auction, I was so happy that I received the price I wanted plus $1,000 more.
