Julie became the sales agent for my house almost by chance. When I rang Harcourt's to ask for an appraisal, she was the first of their agents available to answer my call. After meeting her, seeing details of her credentials and receiving her marketing proposal, I was sufficiently impressed that I chose her without first contacting any competing agencies. And although my experience of selling property is limited to this one case, I doubt if I could have made a better selection. Her communication was outstanding: as one example, within minutes of an open home ending she would phone me to report on how it had gone. My queries were answered promptly, she was always on time for meetings, pleasant to deal with, clearly knew the local market well and my impression was that she put as much effort into selling my property as she would have done with a far more expensive one. On auction day she and her associates from Harcourt's pulled out all the stops to achieve a price which was in line with her predictions but appreciably better than I had thought likely.
