We have been extremely pleased and satisfied with the whole process of this purchase. We are from interstate and were in Bonogin looking at properties when the storm hit leaving everyone without power ( or air conditioning) Ilona organised for us to be able to “look from the outside” as the family were somewhat disadvantaged with the power outage. Fortunately the sellers were not only home but graciously allowed us to do a walk through closing our eyes to the un-prepared home. Ilona was still able to organise the finalisation of the purchase when we were convinced that despite the circumstances it was the property we wanted. Difficult times for both sellers and purchasers but Ilona smoothly sorted it all out and we are now going to be Queenslanders next month. Martin has very eager and enthusiastic and had a reasonable knowledge of the market. However when presented with offers I felt he used scare tactics to hurry me in to taking a offer without negotiation. With my insistence he negotiated a higher price from the buyer but I felt I shouldn't have had to instigated this for him. Martin seemed to develop a good relationship with the buyer which was good for keeping me in the loop with their finance approvals. I was however unimpressed by his urge to use his conveyancer over the one I had lined up, making me feel like I hadn't done my research in choosing the right one. His conveyancer was a rude and belittling man who made me feel like a fool. It doesn't take much to be kind and educating.
