We’ve had such a positive experience with this agency and would happily give them 5 stars. From the very beginning, communication has been fantastic - clear, consistent and responsive. Making a big long distance move to Townsville with our family came with plenty of moving parts, so having an agency that communicated so well throughout the entire process made such a difference. What really stood out though, was the human touch. Knowing we were relocating from a long way away, I received a genuine “Welcome to Townsville” along with recommendations for things to see and do with our family, places to explore, where to find the best coffee and even some date night suggestions! It was such a small gesture, but when you’re moving your whole family somewhere completely new, those little things mean a lot. That level of thoughtfulness is unmatched. Everyone we have dealt with has also been genuinely lovely, professional and helpful. When I went into the office to collect our keys, I may have accidentally done a little eavesdropping 😂 and overheard a few conversations between the team and other tenants. What stood out was that the same warmth and respect we had experienced was exactly how they interacted with everyone else too. It was clearly genuine. It’s incredibly refreshing to deal with an agency that combines professionalism, great communication and genuine care for the people they work with. They made what could have been a really stressful part of a huge move feel smooth and welcoming, and we are incredibly grateful. An easy 5 stars from us - highly recommend!

Overall, my experience with Harcourts as a company has been fine. Their systems, including the Bricks+ Agent Portal, is easy to use but, my concerns relate specifically to the level of service provided by my property manager rather than Harcourts itself. The biggest issue has been the lack of investigation before maintenance requests are sent to me for approval. As the landlord, I frequently find myself asking basic questions that should have been asked of the tenant before the request reached me. For example, I received a maintenance request stating only that a "shower screen was leaking." The property has three showers, yet there was no indication which one was affected, no photos, and no information on whether the leak was caused by a blocked drain, worn silicone, or damage requiring replacement. It took around five emails back and forth—and ultimately intervention from the property manager's supervisor—to obtain information that should have been provide from the start. Maintenance concerns were also only raised when I proposed a rent increase. The increase was within Queensland guidelines and remained below market rates according to multiple rental appraisal websites, yet additional issues suddenly surfaced during that process. Finally, there was a roof leak insurance claim where the insurer inspected the property, found no evidence of leaks, and documented that the tenant confirmed there were no roof leaks. Three months later, I was told the tenants were unhappy paying the proposed rent "especially with the roof leaks," despite the issue having already been investigated and closed. I expect a property manager to gather complete information, verify facts, and proactively manage communication before presenting matters formally. Better attention to detail and a severe increase in communication, would significantly improve the service. At this stage, because of this management experience, we would not recommend Harcourts to manage properties.

I am writing this for my parents they rent 4 Rushtons way. After my parents house burnt down we were finding it hard to find a rental. We got approved for a house with harcourt kingsberry. Rachel there agent has been amazing she is very helpful and always available. Things get down very promptly I asked if we could change the shower to a hand held shower and it was down in like a couple of days was very impressed.
