The staging and photos were fantastic and the unit went on the market quickly and effortlessly (for us anyway!). Regular opens and private inspections were held and Jeff always kept us up to date. Jeff recommended going to Auction as the market was performing well and that turned out to be spot on advice as we sold at auction well above our reserve price which we could never have anticipated! From our initial meeting with Marcus he was enthusiastic and positive about the sale of our property. His initial price appraisal was very encouraging however he suggested a higher figure that he felt was achievable by adopting the right approach and using his contacts in Geelong and Melbourne to attract the right bidders. Although our property was very 'down at heel', the marketing approach put in place by Marcus and his team highlighted the great location, the attractions of living in Geelong West and encouraged potential buyers to see the possibilities rather than the limitations. The marketing strategy attracted quite a number of parties to inspect the property. We were kept well informed about the proposed days the property would be open for inspection and were given reports on attendances soon after. There was a good turn out at the auction and Marcus worked hard, managing to encourage five bidders to partake with bids quickly going beyond the indicative range and finishing slightly above the higher figure he had suggested at our initial meeting. I'd happily recommend Marcus, Carl Hammond and their team for their enthusiasm, local market knowledge and expertise.

We interviewed 3 agents to represent the sale of our family home. Jeff was engaged as our agent based on his knowledge of the local area, results but more importantly he understood we were all located in various locations around Aust and required patience in regards to inspections etc. He was exceptionally helpful in arranging cleaning contacts, liaison with family members to arrange inspections etc. This was definitely an asset as we are not located in Geelong and dealing with this all via calls/emails. Whilst the interest initially was not what we had hoped he did get the sale across the line post auction date even when various obsticals were presented. He managed this with professionalism and humor of which I appreciated. I would recommend him as an agent.

This is the second time in the last few years that we have sought Jeff Begg's assistance with Hodges Real estate in selling a property. From the first moment we have contacted Jeff on each occasion he has moved quickly to get the sales process underway which suited us. Jeff is a terrific communicator and we were never left chasing him for feedback as he contacts us in a timely manner. Jeff gave us a very realistic and honest valuation which gave us confidence in the selling process. Jeff gave us some advice on some small improvements to consider and a local tradesman who might assist. This tradesman was great value and attended to some minor matters very quickly. The property was well presented and Jeff worked through all enquiries and leads to get several bidders to the auction. We achieved the price that we were after on the auction day which was a great relief. Joined on the day by Marcus Falconer as our auctioneer the whole team achieved a great result with a very professional auction. We were delighted and the new purchasers were elated.
