Marcus and Hodges Geelong have a proven track record in our area, achieving most of the top prices for sales both private and at auction. Although we were hesitant to sell our home at auction, Marcus clearly explained the advantages for our property and circumstances and it was a strategy that ultimately delivered a great price on auction day. From our initial meeting with Marcus to the end outcome on Auction day, we were very comfortable and satisfied with the entire communication process. We found Marcus to be a complete professional and very transparent in his assessment of our home from initial discussion, throughout the advertising campaign and at auction. We were very happy with the advertising and exposure that our home received from the Hodges Real Estate group through its multi-platformed on-line sites, Weekly Review advertising, large ad board and number of open inspections. The feedback from Marcus throughout this month was fantastic in respect to potentially interested buyers and the number of people inquiring and visiting our home. The fact that we had approximately 65 people attend the auction definitely reflected the interest. As with our relaxed feelings during the advertising campaign that Marcus and Hodges RE were in total control, we felt similar on the big day. Marcus and the team performed well, with Marcus doing a great job as the auctioneer and engaging the crowd with his easy dialogue. The result was great as the bids came in and we were more than happy to place our home on the market when asked. Achieving a result that was higher than the reserve set was very satisfying.
