We selected Richard on the basis of : 1) A strong recommendation from a friend whose house Richard had recently sold and 2) An analysus of the sales achieved in the Doubleview area by various agents. Richard with his extensive local knowledge was easily the leading agent over the previous year. At the time of selecting Richard we were not very aware of the great professional and personable support Richard has to achieve a sale. This is particularly true for Rachel. We were very pleased with all the information and advice we received and this resulted in a successful sale.

Although I am also in the real estate industry, I do not give my properties to agents that I know to sell them. Richard gave me a better feeling, was more professional and dedicated, and I was proven right. His eye for detail is breathtaking, he will notice the very smallest detail and make it perfect. At the open home, there was a car parked on the lawn by the side of the road due to an accident, and Richard thought it would affect the feeling of the potential client and did everything he could to get the car out of that spot in the end. There are many other things like this, so I won't recount them all. All in all, the house ended up being priced to our expectations and we were impressed with the meticulous service of Richard and his partner. So we didn't hesitate to refer our best friends, who was also recently looking to sell their house, to them.

Through selling process Thea was great, informative, highly knowledgeable with proper procedures, she goes above and beyond not only for Vendors but in my experience, the buyer too. From helping with every phase of deciding to sell my property, she was considerate with my tenant, went above and beyond with the paperwork details for listing and details with marketing plans and strategy and even with guiding me with multiple offers. She was patient and helped me with a lot with market details, paperwork, the whole process and even after settlement, she has even provided me with advice for buying. Her approach to staging and presenting was insightful and outstanding, a real credit to her. From my experience it wasn’t just a business deal it was a sense of team work, commitment and passion for both parties to achieve. And to include all of this, we did it from different time zones and states.

Prior to Richard, we’d had two other local agents through our home for valuation. Both gave me a number during their visit. Richard asked for time to do more research and when he came back to me with his number, he came back with so much information about recent sales for similar houses, approximate m2 value of the area, brick and tile versus stud constructed, etc. I was very impressed and felt he had really put the time in to give me the correct information rather than a number that might win him the sale. It felt he was invested in doing the right thing by the client, and being honest, rather than giving a high number to impress and then not being able to achieve that sale price. He had our buyers’ offer within 3hrs of off market home open and got the price we had wanted. The process from there was also made easy and we were never pressured to make any quick decisions. Rachel as our contact after accepting the offer was also brilliant. They was always honest with us, and great with communication. We’re very happy with our experience using Richard and Rachel as our agents.

When searching for a home, you meet a lot of agents along the way. While Richard (like any good agent) has the gift of the gab, what he also showed was honesty and this was so refreshing. He kept us informed during the offers process and helped guide us through the different hurdles we came to. Richard was easy to get in contact with and responded quickly. Rachel was also lovely, keeping regular contact and highly knowledgeable from offer through to settlement. Sorting dinner on move-in day was an awesome, and well thought-out touch, really alleviated stress on a crazy day! Thank you both for making buying a house that little bit easier!
