'Old-School' values - Trust, Honesty, Integrity and Professionalism
I use the term 'Old-School' to differentiate between those with integrity verses the rest! How does one choose an agent and be part of your life for some months? Our anxieties on this were dispelled quickly. Our first meeting with Grahame was at an open inspection. My wife and found Grahame different to other agents, a gentleman and someone who we thought might understand our needs. Our decision to ask Grahame to sell our house was easy and based on his genuine engagement with us and his obvious empathy, his listening and reflection of our interests and concerns. At the completion of our first meeting, he asked to be shown around our property. We found this process hugely important, he was very respectful and openly commented on issues that could be addressed for a sale as well as highlighting the positive features of our property. His examination of the property was impressively forensic - his knowledge of gardens, and wildlife was very appealing along with his obvious expertise in building issues. Shortly before the property went to market he again undertook a forensic examination of the property where he noted improvements and made suggestions for further tweaks. By this time we had a very positive relationship with Grahame and Tim (his co-agent), based on trust and integrity. He was also very tuned in to our anxieties and each time was quick to address these and to ensure we were completely confident and relaxed. Grahame's calmness and capability and attention to his clients needs is nothing short of exceptional and professional - and with warmth and touch to humour where needed! Where I might have been impetuous on off-market offers, Grahame evaluated the risks and his advice prevailed each time - to our benefit. I have profound regard for Grahame's professionalism, personal integrity and his deeply respectful engagement skills. His honesty, and deep knowledge of the industry, built over 35 years should inspire all of us wishing to sell our house.
