Tate, was professional, friendly, direct and extremely helpful. He listened and conducted the sale of the property from start to end in the manner which we discussed at our first meeting. He could not have done more and made this 1st time process for me a truly positive exercise with the added bonus of a great result at the auction. When we decided to sell our home we met with a couple of agents however after meeting Tate we immediately felt comfortable to trust the sale of our home in his capable hands. Unlike other agents, Tate didn't just tell us 'what we wanted to hear' in terms of what we thought the house was worth however he was open to our expectations and requests in coming to a reserve price we were comfortable with. A good test for an agent is how well they communicate, answer your questions, and also what questions they ask as this in turn reflects their communication skills with prospective buyers. Tate took the time to discuss all aspects regarding the sale, asked lots of question about our home and also gave us a good run down on the local market. On the latter, Tate and Jas Stephens are focused purely on the inner west and this focus gives them a distinct advantage in local market knowledge and what buyers are looking for. With our home, Tate managed to sell this for well above our reserve and we couldn't have been happier with the result. We were 'newbies' at selling a home. George was recommended to us and he was superb. He stepped us through the process we were embarking on, suggested what to focus our efforts on to prepare our home for presentation, kept us advised of interest following open day inspections, and closed the sale with apparent ease. George suggested a price range that was well in excess of what we had imagined, and negotiated a sale price within the upper end of the range.
