Having grown up in Geelong, including being educated at Geelong Grammar, it is probably not surprising that one of the key ingredients in Jeff Begg’s rise to the top of the real estate tree has been his total commitment to looking after the members of the community that he knows so well. Jeff has always been known as a true “people person”, so when the opportunity arose in 2002 to work hand in hand with the residents of Geelong to maximise their property dealings he grabbed it with both hands, and has never looked back. I selected the right man for the job

Hi Marcus, I’ve been meaning to send you a note to thank you for your help and professionalism at a time when I needed expertise and guidance in selling our property in Winchelsea. I spoke to a number of agents but I found that you understood that because of my circumstances I needed to move quite quickly. You gave me what you thought was a realistic price for our property and proposed a campaign to deliver it in a good time frame. Your campaign was excellent and we were thrilled with the result that you achieved. However, not only did you sell our home, but you understood precisely what we needed in our new home and managed to provide all our requirements in finding us the ideal new home. (Not only did you achieve that, but you managed to orchestrate the exchange of contracts on the same day - truly appreciated!) Always kept in the loop

Marcus and his team worked hard to sell our Mother's house. The first buyer backed out close to the line but it wasn't long before they found a new buyer. All our dealings were honest and friendly and the make sure to answer your phone calls.

Exceptional knowledge of market achieved fantastic result

Having a garden containing large deciduous trees we were thinking we would wait until mid spring to best show off the property. Marcus convinced us to auction before spring to best take account of market conditions. Marcus' knowledge of the market and his superior communication skills with potential buyers achieved a result which was beyond our expectations.

Communication issues

Although the property had its challenges, we were disappointed with aspects of Marcus’ (Hodges Real Estate) performance. We would have appreciated better communication during the process, including the incurrence of additional marketing costs. In future, we would use another agent.
