Having sold and bought a lot of realestate, especially over the last seven years we found Karen and her dealings questionable and found her to be inexperienced in this price point. It was very difficult to access the property and there was quite a rushed in / out approach. This property is 515sqm of living, it’s very hard to view everything in half an hour. Calls to Karen wouldn’t be answered, the response; always suggesting ‘out of range’ and responses were given back via txt. Leading up to settlement, there was no option for inspection as per our request, which resulted in disaster upon receiving the keys. The major storm that ripped through this area and our concerns about the property were advised back from Karen with no damage to the property, however the pool, which we only noticed a week after moving in has damages to it, along with the paving and the fibreglass coating which is currently still to this day (June 23) in an insurance review. Our conveyancer also had to be involved resulting in a skip bin being delivered to us which we then had to fill ourselves, full of personal affects being left behind. Karen’s response was that she had asked the question if everything was left appropriately and she just took word value. Karen then suggested afterwards ‘well you could have had a pre settlement inspection’ which has infuriated us as buyers. Karen literally wiped her hands of the sale the minute it was sold. If you are purchasing from Karen, I would suggest you question everything in relation to the property, use your rights as a buyer for inspections / concerns, involve your conveyancer if required. Document everything. We are so lucky we love our property and that has overcome all of the negative encounters
