I recently sold my property with Paul and upon the first meeting with Paul to obtain an appraisal. Paul was comforting and sharp. He was also quite pushy to get us to sign us as a listing, which I didn’t mind because I thought he would be good in negotiating with potential buyers. However, that is where it stopped. We never saw Paul again even though we explicitly asked that if we signed with him that he would do our open inspections and be the main point of contact. This didn’t happen. He never attended one of our open inspections and the only time I heard from him was when he tried to convince me to take the first offer we received, which was much lower than my expectation and what we had discussed at the time of listing. Paul plays a volume game and tried to turn over our house as quickly as possible so he could move onto his next victim. A word of caution to anyone thinking of using Paul to sell you home. His first impression is great, but a lot of what he says is just to get your listing and doesn’t stand behind what he says he will do as part of his service.

The McGrath Group (Paul Fenech, Croydon Office), advertised a superior property with a bright, white, floor to ceiling immaculate looking kitchen and delivered an ugly, grey and impractical kitchen with the stair landing protruding through the kitchen pantry and cabinets. When I mentioned this to him, Paul had the audacity to send me a photo by text of his home imperfections. To say I was disgusted by Paul’s lack of empathy was an understatement. McGrath Group made me feel like I was worthless. McGrath Group showed no formal process of customer complaint resolution. I felt that now they have my money they have done their job. I then proceeded to express my concerns to the Franchise Founder, John McGrath, and got no response. I have never had such a bad real estate experience and will NEVER use McGrath Group again. Guttered and disillusioned

We were initially drawn to McGrath because of their marketing standards and portfolio of properties in our area. When we met with Paul, we hit it off really well right from the start. A good, friendly person with a down-to-earth and plain-english approach, Paul listened to our plans and what we wanted before he made any recommendations on strategyu and price. From there, Paul introduced us to the rest of his team and advised some alternative approaches for marketing our propery (without being pushy). He kept a close eye on interest and offers and, as the market slowed a bit, he quickly called a meeting to review our strategy - which we did and were able to seal the deal a couple of weeks later.
