When the time finally came to sell our family home, we knew there was only one agent that we wanted to work with. We had met James numerous times over the last couple of years whilst we were searching for a new house to upgrade to. As a potential buyer, we were impressed with how polite and courteous he was, unlike many other agents that we met who were far too pushy. James is first and foremost a thorough gentleman, who is very genuine and humble. He has a calming influence, which is beneficial, particularly in a softening market where it is easy to become a little distressed and emotional as a seller. James is well researched and has a thorough understanding and knowledge of the latest economic events that contribute to what is happening in the market place. He is simply more than just a real estate agent. This enables you to have comfort and a realistic idea of what you can expect to realise on the sale of your property and in what time frame. We are still amazed that we managed to sell our house after one open home with James at a price that we were more than pleased with. When the time comes again to sell, we will use James without hesitation and have recommended him to family and friends that are thinking of selling in the forseeable future. We could not have been more pleased with the whole process with James. In closing, this is the first review I have ever written in my life. I would rate Meridien and James Hovander's knowledge, professionalism and service as the premium real estate agency in the Hills. From the very beginning of my parent's listing, he stood above the rest in the way he absolutely cared, advised and guided my parents through the whole process from pre listing, listing, open home inspections and the final sale process. James impressed us 11 years ago when he sold our home to us. When it was time to move again, we really wanted James to act for us in selling. His honest, down to earth approach worked and we got the exact price we wanted, even though the market was ‘slowing down’. Alexandra was also very professional and helpful. We’re not planning to move again for a while, but wouldn’t hesitate to use or recommend James.
