From the very start we had confidence that Dad was in very safe hands. This was not just the sale of Dad’s house, but also the end of my father’s independence. Dad has lived on his own since my Mum died in 2013, apart from a few months at our place in 2019, after he had a hip replacement. So this was a big deal to my 96 year old father and could have potentially been quite a distressing time for him. Fortunately for him, Ayla was the real estate agent we received. I was impressed with how perceptive Ayla was in assessing the situation and how quickly she created an excellent rapport with my father and me. It was because of her skill, that this process remained a positive one for my father. Ayla effectively used humour to maintain a friendly relationship which was important to Dad. He was confident that she was always working hard in his best interest. On a professional level Ayla’s advice was invaluable and was to prove very accurate. She expertly explained to us what needed to be done, in and outside the house, to assist in the sale of the property. She informed us of the price range she thought the house could be sold for and clearly explained the advantages of selling by auction in the current market. She always ensured that Dad was comfortable with all decisions he made and fully understood her advice. Ayla’s patience was amazing. I appreciated that she did not try to exaggerate the amount he could receive for selling the house. In the end, Dad’s house sold for considerably more than he or I thought he could possibly obtain and there is no doubt that this was totally due to Ayla’s skill, astute knowledge of the market and hard work. We engaged Martin on our sale and he was totally professional and produced an excellent result. He was very easy to deal with, offered a competitive rate, was quick off the mark in organising the photo shoot. We were not on site all the time but Martin always checked if he could visit to show people around or take photos. The marketing was top notch.
