When we relocated interstate 4 years ago we wanted to sell, but the market was in a hole. We had a high price floor that reflected the underlying value of the site, and were prepared to wait for the market. We contacted John, and over the years he kept in touch with us, letting us know about the state of the local market and occasionally mentioning that there were some developers interested in sites like ours. We must have had half a dozen such requests over the years. We'd allow John to present the house, we'd negotiate and things would die out. John never pressured us to drop our price, never went for the quick sale. He just kept on supporting us quietly in the background. When we decided the market was right, and that we would place the house on the market, John was already there with a hot lead. We never even placed the house online. The sale came through with a minimum of fuss, and probably saved us thousands in paint and presentation work as renting had not been kind to our dear old home. John sold our home practically overnight, after years of patient effort.

In order to sell the family home he had the task of dealing with several family members and he did this with the utmost respect, professionalism and support. I found John to be very helpful and understanding. He was flexible because at the time I was not very well and John co-operated by contacting my son who acted as go-between which relieved me of the pressure of solo decision making. John was not pushy and I always felt comfortable when dealing with him. I used John as agent because he was recommended by my son and daughter-in-law.
