I’ve worked in real estate for some 30 years, and in an increasingly competitive industry, the fact that we’ve survived and flourished shows we’re on the right track. Boutique agencies can provide a better level of service. So when the hammer falls, our vendors and buyers alike know in their bones they got the best deal possible. It’s a win/win situation. My former career as a language-school principal taught me skills I use in real estate every day. Organisation, planning and negotiation are basic, but I find leadership skills the most important in guiding inexperienced vendors and buyers. Leadership is about giving clients the assurance they need. Most people buy and sell houses only a handful of times in a lifetime. The unfamiliar can be daunting, and coupled with doubts about the price they can achieve or have to pay, and how that impacts on their choices, it’s a world of uncertainty that challenges almost everyone. Clients gain confidence when they get as much information as they need, as often as they need it, so that by the end, they know as much as the agent does, and can make decisions that are rock solid. For me, residential real estate offers the thrill of the chase. When you’ve given maximum effort, worked the property as much as it can be worked, then you know you got the best possible price, and your clients do too.

About Rosalie

Rosalie has worked in the real estate industry for over 30 years, and co-founded Planet Properties in 1992. Her role involves overseeing and running the sales department, including appraisals, open houses, communication between vendors and buyers and marketing. As an integral part of the Planet team, she is also responsible for marketing the company profile, liaising with editors in print and electronic media, and with community groups for sponsorship and promotions. She is actively involved in the Inner West community in her position as a founding member of Inner West Referrals helping the community wherever possible. Planet Properties also supports The Inner West Mums business facebook page which helps keep mums in the community united and supported. As a licensed real estate agent, Rosalie is very familiar with Sydney’s Inner West and is fascinated with the architecture and history of the area. For her, the best part of the job is the high she gets from negotiating the sale of a property and seeing the happiness and excitement of the vendors and buyers. Rosalie loves travelling and spending time with her daughter, family & close friends. She looks forward to continuing to grow her business and to mentoring others in the industry.

Arthur is by far the best Real Estate agent I have had the pleasure to work with.

Arthur is the consummate professional who's commitment to perfection is blatantly obvious. This house was marketed previously just over a year ago and the photo session lasted no longer than 30 minutes and produced what could only be described as OK photos that failed to wow and also failed to do basic things like removing pushbikes from the picture of the front of the house with photo shop. Arthur was at the house for the whole photo shoot which ended up over 3 hours and was in constant communication with the photographer and me about every picture taken. The results were amazing and are a credit to him and the photographer. His advice throughout the campaign was sound and never condescending in a very flat market where houses were being withdrawn daily. It was his guidance that ultimately led us to a successful sale at a price that was lower than we actually wanted but probably higher than the market average. I would unequivocally recommend Arthur and his team to any potential vendor and also to any purchaser as he does provide a very good balance of support to both parties.

Great agents, would definitely use again

The Dynamic Duo of Rosalie and Mark Gordon at Planet Properties sold our house and did a great job. They gave us solid advice throughout and clearly knew the local market well. No pressure, straight-talking, and easy to deal with the whole way through. They had plenty of contacts and organised everything for us; no nagging required on our end. We’d use them again.
