Before we sold through Ray White we tried selling our property through another agent. The previous agent continued to disappoint us with their comments of 'not many people through today' or ' let's remain positive we're sure you won't have any problem selling'. Due to the lack of interest in our property we failed to sell and hence did not renew the agents' contract when expired. Not knowing which agent to try next we were met with Matt Morris from Ray White Ferntree Gully at our newly purchased home only to express how disgruntled we were at not being able to sell our current property. He suggested we meet with his colleague Ben Thomas who is very experienced at selling homes. On meeting with Ben he came to us with a very fresh and different approach to help us sell not to mention the idea of going to auction which we were always opposed to. We took on board Ben and his suggestions toward making our sale and it was the best decision we made, not only did we have numerous buyers but our sale price was over and above our expectations. Paul was not a pushy sale persons and was extremely professional and responsive he kept us updated the end of every open day with the results with a quick phone call then followed up via email which was a nice to keep track of interest. He also recommended we go for an in house auction at their premises on a Saturday. It was the first time we had even considered an in house auction not at our premise but we were presently surprised with the fantastic result. By going to the auction at the Ray White office with 10+ other home owners it built the excitement and interest of the buyers totally (they all feed off each other) and if they missed one property they felt like not missing the next opportunity it was definitely the best option for us. We got a price in excess of what we wanted on the day so it was a win win scenario for ourselves and Paul Scott who we rewarded for his hard work.
