Terribly treated, applied for the property- we were told we’d be approved 4 days later but the landlord wanted an extra $20pw. Agent capitalised on the rental demand. Agent is all about landlord not tenant. We were not offered a free way to pay the rent before being hounded each day to pay (money was there waiting but agent couldn’t give us a free account to pay into). Finally sorted it with a bank cheque (another fee we had to wear). Day keys were handed over, the landlord came and let themselves inside while we were not there. We had started to move some items- you’d think better comms between agent and landlord? House had defects from the builder, agent has advised me to organise times with the builder to have these sorted. I would have thought this would have been done before having a tenant move in- have to waste my own time to let builders in for an issue on a new build. Landlord had weeks to do this before. All in all, agents have been rude and unhelpful.
