We were really excited to score our first rental home, however we feel as though we’ve been given little to no value service. There was no proper hand over to tell us how to look after the garden or shown around the home so that they can see the state of the house before handing it over - a lot of broken things here that I feel I am going to be held accountable for … even though I’ve taken photos on the first day. Wasn’t told that sprinklers will be running every day for the gardens and I’m just thinking how does this water bill work? Didn’t know Gas will be installed and charged, I went to see how to fix the pool as it’s starting to green only to find out there should’ve been a handover done by the pool experts that the Real estate should have let them know there’s new tenants and should have organised for them to come over and do a hand over as I told them the net is broken, the floater is in pieces they said to take photos of it as it should’ve been reported to them for replacement and for us to be careful as it can be pinned on us. we didn’t know there was a missing door going out to the back, only a screen door… and we reported the front door not locking properly and was told it’s not going to be fixed …. Also paid two weeks rent in advance used up the 2 weeks and paid rent weekly only to be told we’re still behind… Voicing our struggles as normal human beings going through it that were trying to get back on our own two feet as newly weds only to be judged on how we spend our money and not being understood and giving us time. So not so great.
