About Richard
Richard Patterson is a name familiar to most local residents and a name synonymous with the area's prestige property marketing, having been the proprietor and franchisee for 35 years. Commencing his career as an accountant, Richard found that while looking to purchase his first home, he had an immediate interest in property. Deciding on a career change, Richard was to study and gain his license while selling property in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney. Two years later, an opportunity arose to buy an established agency in his home area, and shortly after he was approached to join the Richardson & Wrench franchise group. Over the ensuing years he has won many of the company's prestigious awards and is held in high regard by his colleagues. His most recent award this year was for highest auction clearance rate, this is the second year in a row he has won this award. Richard has nurtured the business for three decades, experiencing all economic climates and positioning the business as one of the dominant agencies in the area for residential sales and property management. The development of the business over the years has included the acquisition of many rental portfolios, resulting in the company managing one of the largest property portfolios in the area.

About Melanie
Melanie has enjoyed growing up on the North Shore with her parents ... dad a builder and mum an interior designer... along with her two older brothers, Mark & Stephen. Enjoying her schooling at PLC Pymble she then went on to graduated as a teacher. Other opportunities were offered and she found herself running a fabulous lunchtime restaurant in the Brooklyn Hotel in the city with her mother, in the newly acquired family hotel in the Rocks. Parents to two beautiful girls, Melanie became a full time mum and did lots of volunteer work at Roseville College. As the girls grew up Melanie found she was doing little bits and pieces at Richard's business and soon became an integral part of the daily running of Richardson & Wrench Lindfield. There are many hats she enjoys wearing, its in her blood, loving the people she meets, no two days are the same, its exciting and brings great rewards... its not every day people bring you into their lives, its a huge responsibility that none of us take lightly. The integrity that Richard has built over the years brings her great pride to work by his side, and together build lasting relationships throughout their community. Richard and his team were highly professional. We would strongly recommend their service.

Richard, Melanie and team were delightful to work with. We placed complete trust in them and feel very happy to have done so. Their advice regarding renovation, styling, marketing and management of the open house campaign was excellent. The final negotiations by Richard led to a result that surpassed our expectations. Knowledgable and trustworthy

There isn't much about the local real estate scene that Richard doesn't know. His quiet confidence is greatly reassuring. He's a straight talker and absolutely reliable. His assessment of the price we would likely achieve at auction was realistic and uncannily accurate. He is calm, measured and charming. With his representation, you feel in very safe hands.

Great communicator

Melanie is a warm and friendly, instantly putting you at your ease. And that sense of being securely guided by a caring professional remained throughout the whole process of selling our much-loved family home. At every stage, Melanie gave us thoughtful advice on everything from when to go to market and how best to prepare our house for sale, through to auction day. She provided constant feedback on how the process was moving along and encouraged us to be in contact with any queries. She always made herself available and responded instantly to any communication. Her extensive experience and history in the local area was invaluable. Ultimately, the information she provided at our first meeting and her assessment of how the sale was likely to play out was spot on. Highly professional team for an excellent end result.

Richard was very professional and calm during the selling process of our beloved family home of 55 years. Nothing was a problem and he, Melanie and Jessica were always ready to answer our questions in a polite and reassuring manner and we were happy with the end result. It was a pleasure to deal with the whole team, including Alex in the office and would highly recommend Richardson & Wrench, Lindfield.

Up to date and efficient

Melanie had excellent market knowledge of both the area and the over 55 style complexes. She kept me informed of all activity and interest with regard to the open days and offers . Melanie also gave excellent advice regarding price ranges. She also gave frank advice and help when required. Thank you a great result!
