Paul didn't mention or didn't know that once both parties have signed the contract you need insurance prior to settlement in Queensland. Initially didn't have keys for the premises, took a long time to gain access. Besides the front photo, the other photo's were from another builders premises. When my wife had a look at the house and was taking photo's so I could see them later, he said why are you taking photo's they are on our site. He appeared to be in a hurry to get out of there, lacked manners. Didn't mention to the cleaners the bins to be moved 10m for the rubbish to be emptied, resulting in a bin full of maggots. When it came to the negotiations that was an experience I don't want to go through again. After to-ing & fro-ing we finally agreed on a price over the phone and then waiting on the owners signature on the contract to be sent to me. That night a well timed bidder appeared from Paul's email. He then explained that I had to sign a multiple bidder form and submit another offer which would be my final. I argued that we had a verbal contract and Paul denied this and said well they haven't signed a contract anyway, so it was my word against him, I should have thought of recording the conversations. Fortunately for him & the builder my wife really wanted the house, if it was up to me I would have pulled out all together. So I up my bid and it was accepted. The house could have been a little cleaner but over all I think we'll be happy. Unfortunately it does leave a sour taste in your mouth and an agent who will claim he's squeaking clean. In the terms below this comment I'm sure will be deleted and only good reviews will be kept but at least he will have to read it first and sleep with his own conscience. A very bad experience all due to the agent, so be careful if you go through this one.
