Raised in Zimbabwe, Gordon began his career working for a property investment company where he quickly rose to the position of General Manager in the 3 years he was there. Gordon moved to London and spent the next 13 years in real estate in Wimbledon. Though just down the road from the famous All England Tennis Club, Gordon was too focused on finding people homes to see a tennis match or taste the overpriced strawberries and cream. Gordon did however find time to get married and become a father and it was after his son was born that he and his family decided to move to Canberra for the quality of life and outdoor living.
