We were encouraged to contact Jane Booty by Gail Eyres, manager at Living Choice Glenhaven because of her knowledge of the village and previous successful sales for incoming residents. Jane impressed us from the start and we felt confident and comfortable to take her on as our selling agent. We knew the time of year was going to impact on achieving a sale prior to Christmas. Jane made every effort to secure a buyer. However, it was immediately after New Year that our sale went through. During the Xmas downtime Jane made sure our spirits were kept up and for this we are very grateful.

They say that moving home can be one of the most stressful things you can do. There’s no doubt about it – it is. Up until this move I would have said that selling the home was even more stressful than the physical moving part – but it absolutely wasn’t the case this time. Jane and Tieghan took a lot of the worry (ok, perhaps not all – I am a control freak, after all…) out of the process. At our first meeting I said to Jane, ‘We’re not great at this house selling thing. In the past it’s been seriously painful,’ she replied with confidence, ‘It won’t be this time.’ She was right…although it was a pain having to keep beds made…just saying… What made this experience different? Yes, they were consummate professionals, and their knowledge of the local market was spot-on, but the point of difference can be summarised in one word: communication. Not only were we given advice on how to prepare our property for sale and inspections, we were kept informed at every step of the process. Plus, the client log-in on the Century 21 website gave us real time updates on all inspections, interested parties, and advertising bookings. The marketing material and ad copy showed the house to its best advantage, and open homes were conducted professionally and at a time that made the most of the natural light. Most importantly, though, we achieved the result that we were after – with substantially less angst that we expected. Thanks to Jane and Tieghan, we’re well on our way to our sea-change.
