When it came to settlement day and the pre-settlement inspection we found this agent to be actively unhelpful and grumpy. When he was unavailable to be present for a pre-settlement inspection and we asked if there was anyone else at the agency who could open up to enable the inspection he actually said “everyone else has their jobs to do and they can’t drop everything just to accommodate you”. That was disappointing given we had driven over 500km that day to do the inspection. While we were driving enroute the agency actually SMS’d us the banking details of the vendor and the financial allocations!!! We were late but the appointment was made at a time to accommodate his preferred schedule and he knew it would be difficult for us to make. As it turned out, with some encouragement by the vendor, the agent did become available for the briefest of inspections. No greeting, clean up of site was appalling, inside was still dirty and as we found out later the cleaners engaged damaged the house. Not a good experience at all. Goodwill is free!
