A year ago Jeff called us to let us know that he had just sold another apartment in our block for a great result at auction. We had moved interstate at that time and weren't ready to sell, but a year later when the time was right we called him to ask his advice. Jeff advised we go to auction (which everyone advised us against!), but we felt Jeff presented a logical case for it and we felt totally comfortable in trusting his experience and judgement...so we signed up. At each stage Jeff kept us completely up to date with how many interested parties we had, who they were and how the marketing campaign was going, always at times that suited us, and over the phone so we genuinely felt his personal attention to our sale. We were advised on an active marketing campaign that included staging furniture, and whilst it cost a bit at the time, we understood it would give us an edge we needed to stand out in the competitive local market. Looking back, it was pittance compared to what we got at auction, so we would highly advise it to anyone else looking to grab people's attention and get footfall in the door. Once we got people in the door Jeff worked his magic to engage them. The lead up to the auction was a bit of a rollercoaster as buyers came and went for various reasons, but Jeff had gone through in great detail all the possible scenarios with us for the lead up and actual auction itself. We were prepared for everything, except for the awesome result we got at auction...way higher than our reserve and completely unexpected! We had always been fearful of auctions, but having Jeff lead the way confidently, the ride was surprisingly easy and we would do it again. The only downside is that Jeff is now in a different state to us, so we couldn't work with him again! We highly recommend Jeff as a friendly, genuine, honest and highly experienced real estate agent who gets results....a diamond that shines in an industry that does not usually have a great reputation.
