My responsibilities involved the strategic management of significant financial portfolios and superannuation accounts. These weren’t small sums; I routinely worked with multi-million-dollar funds across a wide range of client profiles—from everyday Australians to high-net-worth individuals and family offices. Over the years, I gained hands-on experience advising on and managing client portfolios connected to some of Australia’s largest and most reputable superannuation providers and one of the core skills I developed throughout this journey was negotiation. This has become one of my greatest assets in the real estate space. A home is not just a physical asset; it’s part of a greater financial strategy. Whether someone is buying, selling, or investing, there are always financial and emotional stakes involved—and having a representative who understands both is critical to getting the best outcome. In today’s real estate market, having a great sales agent is important—but what’s even more important is having someone who understands strategy. While many agents rely heavily on a single sales methodology—such as Private Treaty, Tender, Expression of Interest, or Auction—I approach each property with a tailored, strategic mindset. I believe that strategy should drive methodology, not the other way around. 28th February 1995 - Opening YONG Real Estate was officially opened by Stephen Robertson, Minister for Natural Resources. Peter Huang, the founder of YONG Real Estate had been working as a commission based agent with Stockdale & Leggo Real Estate - Sunnybank Hills and in only a short time had become one of their top agents. After the office closed down, the Principal and Licensee, Roger Weeks, offered to bring in his rent roll free of charge and manage the business for Peter who had decided to open his own Real Estate Office, YONG Real Estate, on the same premises. The humble beginnings of YONG Real Estate began with only five people, two weeks after Stockdale & Leggo Real Estate - Sunnybank Hills closed down. 28 February 2004 - YONG Real Estate System Within just over one month of opening the two new YONG Offices, YONG Real Estate attracted a strong team of 10 to 20 people to join the vibrant first class offices, which is a wonderful testimony to how popular Peter Huang's unique YONG System is. YONG now has a strong team of over 100 dedicated professionals. YONG Corporate Office - Pacific Centre YONG Real Estate relocated from the small shopping complex where the office had first opened to the new Pacific Centre building across the road. YONG established its Corporate Office in the new building and the Super Office concept that Peter Huang had envisioned was realised. The Opening Ceremony was held to introduce both the new building and YONG Real Estate's Corporate Office to the local community. The centre was opened by Kevin Bianchi on behalf of Lord Mayor Jim Soorly, together with Gary Hardgrave, Federal Minister for Multicultural Affairs, Judy Spence, Minister for Family, Craig Emerson, Graham Quirk, and Michael Caltabiano. Since the buildings completion, the Pacific Center has won two awards including the QMBA's Award for Brisbane Region and the Award for Queensland. Re-setting YONG Corporate Targets YONG Real Estates Corporate Target is to turn over $5.8 billion in sales per year with capitalisation of well over $200 million making YONG Real Estate the greatest Real Estate Company in Australia. YONG's Global Vision Peter Huang intends to make YONG Real Estate a well known unique international brand. Toyota's success in the car industry has inspired Peter to make YONG Real Estate just as successful in the real estate industry. According to the 7 September 2006 BRW report, Toyota is the most successful and profitable car maker in the world. Toyota counts for around 33 percent of the world wide car maker's net profit figure, the rest of the Japanese car maker's account for 33 percent and the remaining 33 percent of the profit goes to car makers throughout the rest of the world including America, Europe and Korea etc. Toyota simply has no serious competition according to these figures. Peter would like YONG Real Estate to follow a similar path of global success. When people think of reliable, fuel efficient and cost effective cars, they think of Toyota and it is YONG's aim that when people think of a hard working and reliable real estate agent who offers a 100 percent solution, they think of YONG. YONG Real Estate is a unique international real estate brand with a 100 percent solution. Once Peter has published his auto-biography, YONG Real Estate will begin expanding globally through Master franchising and Direct Franchising and will aim to potentially take 15 percent of the real estate world market with well over 300,000 sales associates employed in the future.
