Ben presented professionally and was very pleasant. Selling our house was a little more complex than the average as we live in NSW and the house is in Holt ACT. To further complicate things the covid restrictions made it impossible for us to travel to Canberra. We totally relied on Ben to recommend, co-ordinate and oversee renovations, building inspections, conveyancing and be our our agent on the ground. It’s clear that he has a good understanding of real estate in the Belconnen area. His advice and knowledge was more than helpful in accepting an offer before auction. Ben presented very professionally and was pleasant. Selling my house was a big deal to me and something I have not had to do for sometime. Ben took the time to walk me through the process and answer the questions I had. If I had my time over again I would have paid to go on to 'All Homes' as I feel that would have brought more buyers to my property and possibly then I would have been able to at least to reach my reserve. I did feel some pressure on auction day to sell below reserve or risk losing my buyer. I am aware of properties equivalent to mine that achieved a higher price, even in the difficult lockdown circumstances that we found ourselves in. I felt, rightly or wrongly, that on auction day, Ben was on the side of the buyer. An extra $20,000 would have given me a lot more scope when buying a downsized property and a better cushion in retirement. I fully accept that as an infrequent seller and buyer of property, my expectations may not have been realistic.

We engaged Ben to sell our property in Dunlop several months before putting our house on the market. It’s clear that he has a good understanding of real estate in our area and how to attract interest in the property. A feature of his service was the excellent and accurate advice provided. Whether it be in choosing a suitable marketing package, advising on worthwhile improvements to make to our property that would add to the value and attract interest, or determining timing to schedule open house, this advice turned out to be spot on. During the period the house was on the market, we attracted lots of interest both through online hits and in property visits. Bens intel gathered from these prospective buyers appeared to be spot on. At the same time he didn’t create unrealistic expectations. When it came time for the auction, we achieved an excellent result. I had requested early occupancy of a recently purchased house (from Ben) and I had not had any response from my conveyancer despite requesting three weeks in advance and numerous follow ups. With two days to moving and no response, I reached out to Ben late Friday night (move was early Monday morning) in desperation. Ben and Tracy responded straight away, he called me and assured me that he would look into it. Within half an hour Ben called the vendor and explained the situation, that neither of our conveyancers have followed instructions, organised for the vendor to meet a friend of mine at the property to hand over keys. This has been an exceptionally stressful time and Ben and Tracy’s quick actions, reassurance and responsiveness has been outstanding.
