I would like to call out the outstanding work of Brad Papaellinas in selling us a home and then selling our home. Let’s face it: real estate agents don’t have the best reputation. They are variously described as liars, cowboys and used car salesman. And to be honest our experience with one real estate agent just prior to Brad confirmed a lot of this. I also have over 20 years’ experience in dealing direct with companies and rating their customer service. Conclusion: most are sh1t. The benchmark is set so low that even a tiny semblance of someone going out of their way is unusual. It was then with a fair bit of trepidation that my wife and I approached Brad when we first found out a unit in our building was for sale. We wanted a 3 bedroom unit as we have 2 young children and our current 2 bedroom unit was a little small. For the next 3 months – buying our house through Brad and then selling our house through Brad – we have been blown away by Brad and his super human efforts to go way beyond what we would expect. During this time of trying to sell our house this is what Brad did: 1. Always remained calm, positive and with good humour. Even when my wife was panicking Brad was there to reassure her and to be funny (or when his jokes weren’t that funny we were able to laugh AT him). Humour is the great leveller and always works best in these situations! 2. Kept us up to date usually with daily phone calls. I have never known anyone from a company who has done this so effectively and over such a long period of time. 3. Clearly communicated with us – anyone can ring someone up but if they don’t explain it property then who cares? Brad always took the time to tell us where he was up to with prospective buyers. 4. Gave us great advice – when we were flailing not knowing what to do – Brad told us the best way forward. We will recommend Brad to anyone who wants to sell a house or buy a house.

Brad was friendly helpful and transparent throughout the entire process. He clearly had the vendor's best interests in mind, but without compromising his ability to communicate with and assist prospective purchasers in the process. Since purchasing the property, Brad has been attentive, approachable and helpful.

It was such a nerve-wracking and emotional process when we were selling our property in Camperdown, however Brad's composure and resolve in achieving the best result, really put us at ease. The decision to agree to have Bresic Whitney and Brad Papaellinas act for me in the marketing of my apartment I am pleased to say was a very good one. Brad has been great from a buyer's perspective. Since purchase he's been available and accommodating to view the property etc., done all the necessary things. We bought at auction. His initial price guide for the house was too low (which was obvious to people like us who'd been in the market for months). Unlike most agents though, he listened to potential buyers and the evident interest and raised the price guide accordingly (several times in fact), which really is a refreshingly honest approach. As a result, instead of dozens of disappointed bidders at the Auction, all six or so bidders were on the same page. We paid 20K over the price guide, which is pretty damn reasonable in today's Inner West market (we've seen plenty go 200K over, and we'd been those misled disappointed bidders in the past). This is our first home and we're very happy. As far as I am aware, the sellers were happy too. Felt like a fair price and a fair transaction.

It's been a pleasure dealing with Brad from the moment we met. He's highly motivated and backed up with experience I felt he was the person for the job. I was right! He worked hard, spoke to as many potential buyers as he could and always kept me informed of the status via phone, emails and reports and always kept the line open if I needed to ask anything. With his help I was able to sell for $70,000 higher than the maximum estimate from another agent. I have complete confidence in recommending him to others looking to sell their property.
