Thank you Dena for stepping outside our normal square and trying a different sale method. On my previous property sales we have done a traditional list and sell of the property, as this is what best suited the properties. On this occasion Dena suggested to auction the property due to the recent high sales activity in the area. We considered offers prior to auction, which came in quick and fast after the open for inspections, but we held out to auction day and I am glad we did as we were able to achieve $20,000 more on the day!! I am very, very happy that I enlisted Dena and listened to her advice.

Buyer beware, misleading advertising and false information given. The agents were extremely helpful up to purchasing the property. After purchasing the property on final inspection we realised the kitchen advertised as "Brand New with stainless steel appliances" infact had an old oven and dishwasher rusted and dirty. Even though the agent confirmed these were "brand new never used with the manual inside", whilst trying to sell the property, there seems to be a "grey area" of definition! We were assured by the agents the ducted heating was working and had been regularly maintained, unfortunately we trusted them, on the day we moved in the ducted heating is broken and we have sat mid winter in the freezing cold whilst paying hundreds for a repair man. We haven't been given any keys to any hot water units that also need repairing as we have very little hot water. We were led to believe there was a phone line there was not again costing us extra. All we received was a rude response from the agent who before settlement was super friendly. Just remember agents represent the vendor not the purchaser.

When it came to selling our family home we chose Dena. Dena’s advice and experience was invaluable - clearly she wanted what was best for us, rather than looking for a ‘quick buck’ by making a fast sale, ( which is often the case in today’s market.) When to sell; how to market the property; even down to the small details like styling and arranging the room layouts for maximum effect– Dena’s knowledge encompassed it all. Dena honestly takes the worry out of selling, from the moment we handed over our keys, to the minute we signed the sale contract, she was with us every step of the way. As interstate vendors we were dependent on Dena for so much extra – little things like putting out the rubbish bins, sweeping the doorsteps before each open for inspection, as well as heating the house several hours before opens etc. So many agents simply wouldn’t take the time to assist in this manner. The final cherry on the pie is that Dena achieved an extraordinary result for us. She found us a buyer who loves our house and she got us a price we are so impressed by.
