NB - this review is for Ian Shortell who was the agent facilitating the sale and home viewings. Ian is the kind of agent who you want to work with during such as a significant experience. He was pleasant, respectful and communicative right through the process. We asked for a couple of private viewings after first seeing the property and Ian was only too happy to oblige. Ian is extremely knowledgeable about the Redlands area and shared local insights with us, as newcomers to the area. We had a number of questions that we needed answers to and Ian either provided a satisfactory response or quickly sought to find out for us. In summary, we would definitely recommend Ian as one of the best real estate agents we have dealt with. It was a pleasure to have met him. Thank you Ian and LJH for a smooth purchasing experience. Really enjoyed working with Karen and Chloe, I felt like they really cared about my property and wanted to get the best outcome and price for me. There was no pressure selling unlike other agents that I’ve spoken to previously and their advice was always very realistic and reasonable. Would highly recommend.
The first meeting gave us hope of getting a decent price for Mums house. We chose the agency through a comparison website and Karen was the top recommendation. We met with Karen but after that meeting, we were handed off to an associate. The price quoted as attainable was quickly reduced by $80000 and then a further $25000! The time frame for settlement was increased from 45 days to 60 days without consultation; the promise of house cleaning prior to and after each 'Open House' clearly didn't happen. The real kicker was to be asked if the purchaser could advertise the house for rent weeks before the house was due to be settled! (It would seem that L J Hooker would be managing the rental for the purchaser) To be totally honest, the consensus we had as a family was that they were really working for the buyers and certainly not for us - the sellers. Our experience is that they can talk the talk but that doesn't translate into walking the walk! Given the above review I think it would be obvious that we would not use this Agency again.
From the first phone call to the sale Karen was exceptional, she made selling my property a breeze, as I live over a 100 kms away Karen went above and beyond to handle everything, offering great communication, professionalism and more importantly made the process personal, I would highly recommend Karen
