Overall we were very happy with Michelle's excellent work. Selling a tenanted villa from interstate filled us with anxiety, but Michelle was able to put our anxiety at ease with local market experience, a great marketing campaign and a sale price better than we expected. About fifteen years ago I was for several years the strata manager for a then self-managed block of units in Shenton Park. My impression was that estate agents whose service the owners felt happy with were rare. But about a year ago my son decided to sell a house he owned in the same suburb to which his departing tenant had bequeathed things like flood damage and a heroically unkempt garden. Its sale promised to be a time-consuming nightmare even for my son, who is very clever at everything (yes, he takes after me). But it was not to be -- Michelle looked after everything, organised all the work for a very competitive price, and left my son with almost nothing to do while keeping him informed every inch of the way. My son duly gave Michelle full marks for friendliness, reliability, freedom from pain, and a five-star review on this website for excellent service. So when I recently needed to sell my own unit, he insisted I give Michelle the job. I was not disappointed. She had an impressive command of the various ways to advertise and present, and did not hesitate to point out common ploys (like hiring posh furniture) that in my case would have been a waste of money. Equally impressive was her way of answering technical queries -- not with guesswork concealed by long words but with actual case histories supported by facts and figures. Whatever it was, she had been there. I could not fault her for friendliness, promptness, attention to detail, keeping me informed, attracting potential buyers even before the unit was officially open for inspection (and for getting more than the asking price), and for laughing at my jokes. Her concern for me as a person rather than the selling of a property continued not just for the duration but also afterwards. I felt more than well looked after. My son's five out of five stars was an underestimate. Make it six.
