Having met with a few agents the thing I liked about Sam was the incentive based approach to the commission rate. This gave me the confidence that Sam would seek the highest price possible rather than just trying to make the sale. As a first time seller I found Sam's communication and advice very helpful. He always kept us up to date on where things were up to and gave us advice on future strategies. Sam was also very responsive to any questions or requests we had. This ensured the process of selling was as stress-free as possible. All this culminated in an outcome we were very happy with in terms of the price we received and how long we were on the market. Having been considering selling our family home for some years, I had met with many agents to get a good feel for what each one offered. Sam was by no means the cheapest, in fact I think he was double what others had quoted me. The sale was a little different to your standard as I'm in the same industry, I wanted to do all the photos and walk thru video with my chosen photographers. In addition I wanted to write my own marketing and had strong ideas on how we should approach the sale. Instead of disagreeing, Sam just got on board and worked with me. He was successful in listing Thursday, opening both Saturday and Sunday and presented us with an offer we accepted on Tuesday. This was a great outcome for our family as anyone with young children would know how hard it is to keep your home show ready. I chose Sam over the other agents because he was working for us and from the time I first contacted him about another of our properties, he has consistently stayed in contact updating me every 4-6 months on other sales. Other agents did not do this. They came, and we were forgotten. I knew he would do the same with the potential buyers. I think it is important that you do this research before selecting an agent. Our beautiful home would sell itself, but I believe other agents would have brought me lower offers as he did the hard work upfront before he came to us. My only feedback for Sam would be to stay in contact thru settlement, and to explain the post sale timeframes as I'm a details person and I like to know everything in advance. Overall, our experience with Sam selling our house was sensational. House sold in less than three days, way above our expectations of market rates.
