My wife and I recently arrived in Tasmania from South Africa on a four year specialist skills 482 visa. Our excitement for the new challenge on a new continent quickly turned into frustration and a lot of anxiety due to the paucity of rental accommodation that was available on the market. We literally arrived with eight suitcases and were keen to put down some roots in our new base by being able to unpack our personal effects in new accommodation.
