As our broker, Paul went above and beyond to help my husband and I understand our budget, know our limits and secure a loan. He was kind, committed to our goals, and easily contactable over the 6-12 months we were looking for houses and making offers. This included keeping our financial assessments up to date even after changing jobs and assisting us with new figures for various scenarios and properties that we were considering. Paul was professional, kind and more than willing to explain every step of the process in an easy to understand way. He also ensured we found the best suited provider and assisted us in understanding and setting up offset account. During the process of house hunting, we had multiple agents who mentioned during preliminary discussions that they trusted any figures we had been given regarding our potential borrowing power as they knew of Paul and trusted his services. Even when recommended by others to pursue more risky options, Paul was realistic and up front about best practice and ensured that we were able to afford our loan without compromising our peace of mind. Special mention to Fiona, Paul’s assistant who was also easy to contact and helpful when it came to preparing paper work. This was our second time using Coastal Loans and we would do it again in a heart beat, 10/10!
