My parents were considering downsizing and had over a period of time requested real estate agents to come and value the family home. Mark was originally contacted for a visit and since that time would pop in every so often to chat with my parents and maintain a relationship with them. This year, sadly my father passed away and so the decision was finally made to sell the family home. I interviewed three real estate agents I selected on recommendation from an independent valuer. When Mark came for the interview, not only was I surprised that my mother knew him personally by name but he presented a well organised and detailed plan for selling the home and spent much time with us. His presentation was superior to those given by other estate agents and I also liked the fact that he wasn't busy selling himself but rather, his logical and thorough ability to answer my questions clearly, communicated to me he was good at what he did. In addition to the fact that he knew my father, it was an easy decision to choose him. We were selling in a market that was changing- as a consequence we only had 6 people through the property during our four week campaign and on the day of the auction there was no auction as there was no interest. This was a concern however, within three days of the auction, Mark found us a buyer which offered us a price over our asking price! Mark is very patient and tolerant and his negotiation skills are very well refined which is what you want in a real estate agent. Mark's staff also commented that he really does work very hard to get the best price for the seller. He did that for us and we are grateful. A good real estate agent doesn't need to sell themselves, the quality of their work speaks for itself. Mark is very good at what he does.
