My journey with Simon began some months ago when a family situation determined that I move to Ballarat to be near my daughter and her 3 children. Hence, the need to sell my current home of 26 years. I went through the process of explaining my situation, and the reason for selling a home that I loved and was very sad to leave. It was also troubling me somewhat, dealing with the negotiations for the two new properties that I was purchasing. I did not convey this issue to any of my prospective agents. Then, completely unsolicited, Simon made the comment, “I can help you with that.” I felt an instant relief, and, from that moment on, Simon became my agent of choice. Then began the procedure to sell my home. We had a bumpy ride along this journey of ours, and throughout, Simon made every possible effort to ease the ride for me. It showed clearly, that Simon was not just my agent, but, a person who cared that we both completed this journey unscathed. Simon handled the negotiations in a professional manner, and when it came to ”crunch” time for me to make the decision, to accept or not to accept, I asked Simon to give me 10 minutes to decide. Where I would ordinarily shy away from agents, I found him easy, respectful, and professional to deal with hence we chose Simon as our real estate agent. When we decided to sell Simon was accommodating to our needs and patiently afforded us as much time and service as could be hoped for. He kept us fully informed on the progression of the sale, always giving honest feedback which was greatly appreciated. The property was sold after auction and much to his credit, Simon continued to spend time working in our interest to obtain the best possible price rather than make the quickest possible sale.
