We first dealt with Rachael a couple of months ago, before putting our late father's house on the market - needed to know how to proceed, what we needed to do and how things worked. Rachael walked through the house with us, making really good suggestions regarding painting etc., with a view to staging. She recommended the fellow we ultimately used to do the painting and some maintenance who was wonderful. Once we were ready, having removed all of the personal effects (an emotional journey) and furniture and having maintenance done, Rachael came back and we put the house on the market. Rachael had also been more than happy to answer any of our questions during this time. That was the Sunday. Public holiday Monday. Tuesday, staging was done by my sister and her daughter-in-law and photographs taken. First open house set for Saturday! Rachael ended up taking four clients through on the Friday who couldn't attend Saturday. Three offers! Saturday, the magic happened! A client came to both open for inspections and put his offer in in the afternoon! And he was the one. He signed the contract that night, we signed the next day (Sunday). Went unconditional on Friday. We are so happy with all of the assistance that Rachael has given us - no question was too silly to answer, never to busy to talk to us. From the day Peter dropped in to appraise our place we felt comfortable with him. No hard sell. Happy to impart knowledge on his previous sales experiences. We were adamant that we did not wish to stage the house so Peter assisted with suggestions as to what needed to be temporarily placed elsewhere while the sale progressed. On open house days he suggested what could be left on display and what what needed to be "hidden". He suggested an "off-market" approach first and he worked his contacts with a number of inspections for possible buyers. One the property was listed we received offers within a couple of days and accepted the highest bid which was very close to our expectations.
