We recently listed our family home for sale with Dean Hamilton of LJ Hooker Stafford. He came with a good rating and positive testimonials on ratemyagent.com.au, which helped us decide to go with Dean. Unlike other agents, he proved himself right from the start, taking the time to meet with our family on several occasions. Dean demonstrated his great knowledge of the overall market and specifically the Kedron area, and backed it up with his detailed sales credentials and specific examples of similar properties. He was honest when managing our price expectations, but was determined to exceed them. Dean demonstrated an understanding the range of potential buyers of our property, and how we should set our sales strategy to maximise exposure and price. Dean wasn't wrong - we had a contract within days of listing with him! Unfortunately, it fell over (due to the buyer), but Dean had another one signed up shortly thereafter for a similar price. He did what he said he would do, was proactive and kept us informed throughout the process. I would certainly recommend Dean Hamilton to anyone interested in selling in the Kedron area. I met with Dean to discuss our options when my wife and I were considering selling our investment property. He advised what was worth fixing up pre sale and what would not be worth spending money on. He nominated a price bracket he expected the property to sell for and advised he could sell the property within that price bracket without the need for advertising expenses or endless open houses. He said he would have a buyer signed up within 2 weeks. A lot of people make bold claims to get your business then provide excuses but not the promised results. Dean had a signed offer on our property within 10 days for a price at the top end of his predicted price bracket for the property. He handled all negotiations regarding price, pest/building inspections , some minor repair works and even eased the current tenant through the change in owners. He kept us informed at every step of the process. The whole process was virtually stress free for us due to his market knowledge, communication skills, industry contacts and the fact that, with regards to every promise (large or small), he kept his word.
