We interviewed four agents and eventually decided on Jay. We liked O’Brien Real Estate’s broad coverage in the Endeavour Hills area, and we thought Jay presented as a good salesman and negotiator. Jay is energetic, positive, passionate and he gets things done. In the initial stages, photos and advertising got finished very quickly. Real Estate would be a demanding career and Jay seems to have the right personality for it. I had researched prices in the area and I thought Jay’s appraisal was reasonable. He wasn’t inflating the price to get our business. Jay or Shenay called us after every open, and Jay contacted us regularly during the week with updates on interested buyers. Jay conducted negotiations between multiple buyers, and we accepted an impressive offer which we were happy with. The sale fell through because the buyer was unable to sort their finance (No one’s fault- these things happen sometimes) and Jay then negotiated the sale with one of the buyers whose offer we had previously rejected. Something to be aware of is that O’Briens conduct 20 minute open for inspections, and leave a 20 minute gap before their next one - whereas most agents use a 30 minute schedule. However we didn’t see this as a big issue. Regardless of which agent you choose, I recommend you take ownership of the sale process- make suggestions, ask questions. Jay was always happy to answer ours. We were happy with Jay and Shenay's efforts selling our property, and would strongly recommend them to you.
