We recently decided to sell our family home and interviewed a few local agents and selected David and Craig. Initially whilst we weren't fully committed to selling we were open to seeing what offers were available, which suited the Express Sale method offered by Century 21. We opted to rent the property looking to sell on completion of the lease however David had secured a contract on the property prior to the end of the lease that aligned with the tenants moving out and the new owners moving in with in a 48 hour window. I would highly recommend David to anyone considering selling property in the Upper Kedron area. David has a great knowledge of the area having lived and owned a business there for many years. I had an unusual set of circumstances with my property and as such, needed to attract a specific buyer profile which in most circumstances would have reduced prospective buyers considerably. David has a large date base of prospects who he obviously markets to continually. We had a contract signed within 3 weeks at a very respectable sales price with a settlement in 30 days. This was a more than good outcome and it has been pretty smooth sailing during this sales process. We recently decided to sell our house and interviewed 6 different agents. The approach was varied.... some so pushy they wanted you to sign agreements on the spot, some lacking in local market knowledge and some whilst very professional very expensive to use. We really did our homework and attended numerous open houses in the weeks prior to our sale to see how the various agents operated and add to our own knowledge of current market conditions. Whilst initially we were apprehensive of the Century 21 "express sale" method of listing after seeing the results it was achieving decided to go with David Tyler. He and his partner Craig Anderson impressed us with their local knowledge, professionalism and integrity . We had a contract 6 days after our first open house for the price we wanted. Both David and Craig did everything possible to secure the sale of our house. Both agents worked well in partnership to address and resolve those niggles that occur during the buying/selling process that start out as minor issues but could potentially see the entire sale fall over. We initially got in contact with David and Craig after first engaging a prior agent on an exclusive basis, the contract expiring with no result. The contrast in our experience with the 2 parties was astounding. Firstly David/Craig's rate was by far the most competitive we came across, no haggling required. Secondly and probably one of the major differences for us, was the amazing level of communication we got from David (whom we mostly dealt with). Our initial experience was one of frustration with a feeling of not knowing what if anything was being done. We heard nothing sometimes for weeks at a time and we could feel our frustration turning into anger. In stark contrast with David and Craig we received regular updates at least weekly and more often than not more, with great information in regards to buyer feedback, response to advertising and the likes. Our emails and texts were always responded to promptly and we also received regular emails. From the get go we felt more positive about our experience. David offered great advice on how to approach the sale, the property already being on the market for a significant time, drawing from his extensive experience and local knowledge. Another significant positive was that we were clear that we needed a certain sales figure. We never felt pressured to lower this price and David/Craig worked extremely hard to achieve the sale within this requirement, and achieved a result we are very happy with. From the get go my sense of David (whom as I said we mostly dealt with) was he is a hard worker with good work ethics and a great sense of what sellers want and expect from an agent.
